Owner and #1 Gym Rat

Os Aponte is a highly regarded and successful personal trainer serving San Diegans since 2005. He began honing his craft at Results Fitness and Urban Body, guiding clients through various programs tailored specifically for their needs; modalities include body weight, kettlebells, strength & conditioning, neural reeducation and integration and conventional training. In 2008, Os earned his Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) credentials giving him more tools to serve his clients at Iron Core. He went on to gain his CK-FMS (Certified Kettlebell - Functional Movement Specialist) in 2008. Never complacent, Os expanded his repertoire with Z-Health, which incorporates the latest in neuroscience to optimize movement and has completed certifications in R, I and T Phase. Os has also earned the gold standard of kettlebell training certifications becoming a StrongFirst instructor holding a Level II designation. His commitment to not just knowing but also practicing his preaching allows Os to identify what every client needs, to help them increase strength, flexibility, power, endurance, and vitality while incurring fewer injuries. 

About Erica

A local to San Diego, Erica Buechner has been choreographing, teaching, and performing since 1999. She attended San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and was named the Outstanding Graduate of the Year in Dance 2006. In 2011, she was awarded the Alumni To Watch Award from SDSU’s School of Music and Dance. Erica obtained her MFA in Dance from Hollins University/American Dance Festival in 2013. She has danced professionally with Mojalet Dance Collective, Eveoke Dance Theatre, Patricia Sandback and Dancers, The PGK Project, Wallpaper Performance Company, IMAGOmoves, and the Joe Alter Dance Group, among other individual choreographers. She is the co-producer of youTurn Arts, an annual arts event, and is the director of Sound Dance Company. In January of 2014, Erica was named by the San Diego Union-Tribune as an “Artist to Watch.” She is the recipient of the 2018/2019 Creative Catalyst Grant through the San Diego Foundation. Erica currently teaches at Francis Parker School as the Middle School and Upper School Dance Teacher as well as the choreographer for the Drama Club.
